The ILOA Subdivision Restrictions, created by Indian Lake, Inc. (the original developers), were established as four separate documents—Sections I, II, III, and IV—filed at the Bastrop County Clerk’s office on March 7, 1972. Unfortunately, these documents did not include a process for amending the original restrictions. As a result, any legal changes would require an election where 100% of the ILOA membership (property owners) voted in favor of the amendments. Although revised versions were filed on July 16, 1993, and again on October 31, 2007 at the Bastrop County Clerk’s office, no voting has been documented in any Annual Membership Business Meeting set of minutes, raising questions about the legality of these amendments.
