About Us
Indian Lake is a privately owned (county maintained roads) rural subdivision platted in 1972 that is located off FM 153 just 7 miles northeast of Smithville, Texas. The Subdivision HOA is managed through volunteers elected to the Board of Directors by the Indian Lake Owners’ Association members. The subdivision consists of 866 lots located in 4 sections of developed and undeveloped lots with a mixture of site built and manufactured homes. Water service is supplied to the subdivision by the Aqua Water Supply Corporation.
Indian Lake is located 14 miles east of Bastrop, Texas, 16 miles west of La Grange, Texas, and 13 miles south of Gidding, Texas. Austin’s Bergstrom International Airport is just 36 miles away.
There are multiple amenities available to residents that include, but are not limited to, the member owned Indian Lake (30.2 acres) which is stocked by ILOA and has a lighted pier and boat ramp. Being heavily treed with abundant wildlife and its distance from town lends to Indian Lake being a beautiful and serene place to live.
